This is a class for anyone! No quilting experience needed but you must have access to a sewing machine. Create and design a approximately 78″ x 90″ keepsake quilt by digging out 20 of your favorite T-Shirts. Materials to bring to the first week of class include: 20 T-Shirts, washed using no fabric softener or dryer sheets, scissors and a rotary cutter if you have one. You do not need to bring your sewing machine to the first class.

T-Shirt Quilts are a fabulous way of preserving special memories from your favorite vacations, sports, school years, plays and activities. They make great gifts for Christmas, Birthdays and Graduations. The T-Shirts are cut up to equal sizes; interfacing is applied then arranged in a grid pattern, sewn to sashing and finally borders are added. The class fee includes interfacing for the back of the T-Shirts. Additional supplies such as fabric for sashing, borders and binding can be purchased from the instructor or on your own. Ten yards of fabric is required to complete this quilt. Specific yardage as well as ways to quilt the top will be discussed in the first class. See my T-Shirt quilt examples on YouTube.
